The PTO and the PIC are providing free one-day training classes
throughout North America. Current schedule includes 25 cities, but
more will be added!
This year's agenda features:
- Introduction
- Fieldbus? What, Why, Which?
- Technical Details of PROFIBUS, PROFIBUS in process, or PROFINET
depending on the city
- Live Demonstrations
- Application Stories
Breakfast and lunch are provided. Door prizes are awarded. Hosted
reception at the end of the day. Product Exhibits are available.
Each attendee receives:
- Presentations in a hard copy book
- CD containing the presentations, documentation, brochures, newsletters,
and more.
- Padfolio and pen.
The three distinct series last year covered PROFIBUS, PROFIBUS
in the Process Industry and PROFINET. For 2006, these will cover:
- The economic and technical advantages of using a fieldbus
- Review of all popular fieldbus choices with special emphasis
on:
- PROFIBUS
- PROFIBUS in the Process Industry
- PROFINET
- Technical details of PROFIBUS in the Process Industry, or PROFINET
(different cities will have different focuses), including :
- standards
- protocols
- wiring
- troubleshooting
- diagnostics
- safety
- Hardware and software demonstrations using equipment from multiple
vendors
- Detailed, specific application examples

sales presentations!)
Industrial Ethernet growth is predicted to be over 50% per year.
